The following activity sees you working in various roles at Swaggies -

TeamMember1: Receptionist at Head Office
TeamMember2: Newcastle Office Assistant
TeamMember3: Sales Assistant at Head Office

You will need to work in a team that consists of the above members - taking it in turns in role playing each part, replacing your name with the team member heading.

Read the scenario below.

Receptionist Head Office:
“Welcome to Swaggies, this is TeamMember1, how may I help you?

Newcastle Office Assistant:
“Good morning this is Sophie MacNamara (TeamMember2) from Newcastle Branch, will you put me through to the Sales department please?”

Reception:
“Yes Sophie I’ll put you through now”

Reception should dial the extension and announce the call

Sales Assistant Head Office:
“Good morning Sophie, this is TeamMember3 in Sales how may I help you?

Newcastle Office Assistant:
“Hello TeamMember3, I’m ringing in regard to an invoice I received today for a large order of stock that I haven’t even got yet. In fact I’ve been waiting for this order for three weeks now. I purchased the stock originally on a promise of quick delivery - that would normally be just a few days. Two weeks passed and nobody called me to let me know of any hold ups or delays so I rang and was told it could be a few more days, it’s now another week and I want to know exactly what is going on.”
