Proposed Marketing Activities - Creating Spreadsheets/Chart

Kylie will be attending a meeting with Steve Parsons and Robert Marconi to discuss the department’s marketing activities for this year. She has left a breakdown of these activities and, from this information, she wants you to create a spreadsheet and chart to present at tomorrow’s meeting.

  1. Spreadsheet
Create a new workbook and set up three sheets using the handwritten notes. The files contain draft figures and she wants you to enter the information and use suitable formulas to obtain accurate calculations:
    1. Format the spreadsheets so that they are attractively displayed
    2. Save the workbook to your personal folder as Proposed Mktg.xls
    3. Proofread carefully
    4. Set up a footer to show the task name, your name and the date

  2. Chart
Open the file Proposed Mktg.xls and on Sheet4, using this file to create a chart showing the percentage of proposed expenditure to be allocated to each marketing activity. Refer to handwritten notes for instructions. (Remember to use the Help files if you need assistance)
    1. Format the chart so that it is attractively displayed
    2. Rename the sheet tab to Chart
    3. Proofread carefully
    4. Set up a footer to show the filename as well as the worksheet tab name
    5. Resave the workbook, print all sheets and leave Kylie's desk.
