Administration Department - Preparing Business Documents

Task 1- Focus on Service Seminar

You are employed as an Administration Department Assistant for Janet Parker, Administration Manager. Janet is involved in organising a seminar for all the Swaggies stores. The title of the seminar is Focus on Service and it will be held on the 30th of next month. The Sales and Marketing Department is responsible for organising some of the aspects of the seminar.

It is advisable that you view and work through the English & Grammar Presentation located in the Library from the Swaggies website.

You are required to:

1.   Listen to the phone conversation (text version) held with Sales and Marketing and set out in memo the necessary details informing Janet Parker of all the arrangements - use the Memo template from Stationery.

2.    Save the memo in Seminars subfolder with the filename Seminar_FOS_memo your initials.

3.    Write a letter to Grant Scully of the Byron Bay store inviting him to the seminar.

4.    Save the letter with the filename SeminarInviteScully your initials.

5.    Print a copy, sign it and leave in Janet's in tray.

 

Task 2 - Reply to Letter of Complaint

Janet Parker has received a complaint from one of the stores - David Denman - at the Merimbula store. David was expecting some timber products to be delivered a week but they haven’t arrived.

You are required to:

1.    Listen to the phone conversation (text version) held with John Little, Warehouse Manager.

2.    Write a letter to David explaining the reason for the delay in delivering his order.

3.    Save the letter in Admin Department subfolder with the filename Denman complaint your initials.

4.    Complete a Customer Complaint Form - access from Stationery and Forms.

5.    Save the form in Customer Complaints subfolder with filename Denman complaint your initials.
